Representatives of Coinbase and Robinhood are set to address the House Agriculture Committee in Congress, bringing to light the problems caused by the lack of regulation of digital currencies in the United States.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has affirmed his company’s commitment to the US by saying that so far, he has no plans to leave the jurisdiction.

He is optimistic that the US government will establish a regulatory framework for the blockchain industry in order to bolster the American economy and keep the country at its IT giant status.

Paul Grewal, Coinbase’s head of legal, Chris Giancarlo, former CFTC president, CFTC chairman Rostyn Behnam, and Dan Berkovec, former CFTC commissioner, will all speak on the matter in order to highlight the importance of implementing regulation laws.

Grewal has argued that the US cannot ignore cryptocurrencies due to their prevalence in other markets, and that legislation would create jobs, stimulate investment, and keep the US in a technological lead.
