Most US Citizens Know Bitcoin Exists: Research
According to a survey by Pew Research Center, 88% of Americans have basic knowledge of digital currencies, but only 24% believe that cryptocurrencies are a safe tool.
Notably, the majority of those over 50 are skeptical about the potential of digital assets. However, 66% of young people consider bitcoin and other virtual currencies to be risky instruments.
The survey also revealed that 41% of men aged 18 to 29 had invested in such assets, while only 16% of women of the same age had done the same.
Additionally, migrants are more likely to use virtual currencies, particularly those from Asia and Latin America.
In addition, only 10% of crypto investors had purchased their coins before 2018. A similar survey by Coinbase exchange found that approximately 20% of Americans had invested part of their capital in digital currencies.
