John F Kennedy’s Nephew Is Against a Digital Dollar

Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., who is running for the 2024 presidential election and is the nephew of John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, has expressed concern about the digital dollar, claiming it “greases the slippery slope to financial slavery and political tyranny.”

The statement went on to say that, while cash transactions are anonymous, the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) would allow the government to monitor all citizens’ private financial affairs.

However, Kennedy mistakenly associated the CBDC with the Federal Reserve’s FedNow payment system, which is set to launch in July 2023.

According to the Federal Reserve’s website, FedNow is “a new payment infrastructure developed by the Federal Reserve [that] enables financial institutions of any size in the United States to provide secure and efficient instant transaction services.”

Kennedy has further warned that the Fed could create a technology that is linked to “digital identity and social credit rating” which would allow them to restrict people’s spending.
