Former FTX CEO Agrees to New Bail Conditions
Sam Bankman-Fried’s lawyers have reached an agreement with the US Attorney’s Office for modified bail conditions.
According to court documents, SBF will be allowed to use a phone without Internet access and a laptop with limited functionality with only approved websites being allowed to visit.
His parents, in whose house he resides, have agreed not to allow any electronic communication devices other than those approved, and have agreed to not bring home any prohibited equipment.
The new detention rules have been submitted to the court for approval, despite suspicions that the SBF had attempted to contact witnesses while under house arrest and was caught using a VPN.
In March, US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, submitted a list of websites that SBF can visit to the court.
