Users Send $8M in Assets to zkSync Blockchain to Receive Potential Airdrop
Crypto fans have sent an estimated $8 million worth of assets to the zkSync blockchain in the last week, with the hope of receiving a potential airdrop.
According to Twitter, strategies to increase the chances of obtaining the utility token include transferring assets, providing liquidity on DEXs such as ZigZag, and making regular trades. Data from DeFi Llama shows that the Total Value Locked (TVL) of the exchange jumped from $1.96 million to $12.06 million in a single week.
The speculation about the zkSync airdrop began when the distribution of Arbitrum project tokens was set to take place on March 23.
A Nansen analyst, Martin Lee, commented that the airdrop “sparked interest in looking for analogues in other networks.”
