Fidelity Digital Assets Launches a Crypto Trading Service
Investment giant Fidelity Investments has opened up its cryptocurrency division, Fidelity Crypto, to the public. This service allows users to trade Bitcoin and Ethereum without fees and with a spread of no more than 1%.
To use the marketplace, users must first create a Fidelity Brokerage account. The list of available cryptocurrencies is expected to expand in the future.
The launch of the platform happened within a few weeks without an official announcement. In November of last year, US senators asked Fidelity to consider including Bitcoin in retirement savings accounts.
Fidelity Investments also filed three trademark applications related to the metaverse, NFT, digital real estate and crypto trading, last November.
