Online Broker Robinhood Releases iOS Version of its Crypto Wallet
Robinhood has released the iOS version of its non-custodial wallet, Robinhood Wallet, which is now available worldwide. The Android version will be available later this year.
The wallet supports Ethereum and Polygon networks, with over 50 ERC-20 tokens supported, including COMP, MATIC, SHIB, SOL, UNI and USDC. It also allows users to connect to different dapps, view and store NFTs.
“We remain committed to our mission to make Robinhood the most reliable, cost-effective and easy-to-use digital asset transition,” said Robinhood Crypto CEO Johann Kerbrat.
In January 2023, the crypto wallet waiting list exceeded 1 million users, with the first 10,000 early access users able to test the beta iOS app in September 2022.
However, digital currency-related revenue for the fourth quarter of 2022 decreased by 24% to $39 million, with a 12% reduction in the previous three months. In its annual report, the company acknowledges the risks posed by the uncertain status of digital assets and the possible closure of related services.
