Andreessen Horowitz Does Not Want to Deploy Uniswap on BNB Chain
Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), a Venture capital firm, has used 15 million UNI tokens to oppose the deployment of the Uniswap v3 protocol on the BNB Chain using the Wormhole app.
The proposal was put forward by the Plasma Labs team. The community approved the initiative on January 22 and Wormhole was chosen as a cross-chain bridge between Ethereum and BNB Chain.
The second place was for the LayerZero app, which received investments from a16z in March last year.
The venture capital firm was not involved in the process due to “custodial setup of its tokens.”
Andreessen Horowitz partner Eddy Lazzarin has said:
“To be absolutely clear, we at a16z would vote for LayerZero using 15 million tokens if we had the technical ability. And we will get this opportunity in future voting on Snapshot.”
