Digital Currency Group is Considering the Sale of CoinDesk
Digital Currency Group is considering the possibility of selling CoinDesk, as well-known crypto-focused news portal.
The Wall Street Journal has said that the options for the full or partial sale of the Internet resource are being considered.
Kevin Worth, the CEO of the company, has confirmed that the deal will be part of a plan to address the financial problems his team is facing. According to him, over the past few months, a group of potential buyers have become interested in the portal, making bids of up to $200M.
CoinDesk was acquired by Digital Currency Group in 2016 for about $600,000.
The group expects to sell this portal for $200M, and the Lazard investment bank will assist it in the implementation of the deal.
