Blockchain.com Announces a 28% Staff Reduction
Cryptocurrency wallet operator Blockchain.com has just announced that it has decided to lay off about 110 employees, that is to say, 28% of its staff, in an attempt to reduce costs amid the crypto winter.
According to CoinDesk, about 280 specialists will continue to work for the company, which is a higher amount than the 160 people that used to work for Blockchain.com at the beginning of 2021.
According to a Blockchain.com representative, the company has adopted this drastic measure with the desire to balance the supply of the company’s products and demand. He has explained that continued unfavorable market conditions have forced the company to adjust its size.
Since April 2022, the industry has lost about 27,000 positions.
