Israel is Exploring the Possibility of Including Cryptos in its Securities Law
Israel’s Ministry of Finance presented at the end of November 2022 a plan for the phased legalization of the digital currency market.
The agency has proposed to introduce a mechanism for licensing companies and strengthen control over stablecoin issuers. The Israeli government is now considering other options for the regulatory framework for the blockchain industry.
The Israel Securities Authority (ISA) believes there is no need to develop separate legislation for the cryptocurrency market and that transactions in such instruments may be regulated using the current regulatory framework applicable to securities.
According to the regulator, transactions with digital assets are carried out on a blockchain, so these instruments can be used for financial investments.
