The lower house of the Parliament of Paraguay has been about to pass a bill to regulate the digital currency market and mining.

However, the document has not received the required number of votes, which has caused dissatisfaction with the business focused on the extraction of virtual currencies.

Paraguay is one of the states with the cheapest energy tariffs in the world, which is the reason why cryptocurrency mining companies invest in the creation of enterprises for the production of tcryptocurrency in this country.

The bill was passed by the Senate in July. However, President Mario Abdo Benítez vetoed the document in August and returned it to the legislature for revision.
