Singapore Grants Blockchain.com a License to Operate Within its Territory
Crypto wallet exchange and operator Blockchain.com has received prior approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to provide digital asset-related services.
The company’s CEO and co-founder Peter Smith noted the “transparent regulatory process” in the city-state.
Blockchain.com sees Singapore as an attractive jurisdiction to invest in developing institutional customer service.
DBS Vickers, Independent Reserve, FOMO Pay, Revolut and others have previously received licenses from the MAS as digital payment token service providers.
Coinbase also received a license in the country on October 11.
Blockchain.com received preliminary permission to operate from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in September this year.
