Valkyrie Liquidates ETFs Based on Shares of Companies That Have Invested in BTC
Asset manager Valkyrie Investments has announced it has liquidated an exchange-traded fund (ETF) based on the shares of companies that directly or indirectly invest, transact or store Bitcoin as a reserve asset.
According to the press release, the Valkyrie Balance Sheet Opportunities ETF will be delisted from Nasdaq. As a result, shareholders can transact until October 28, 2022.
The company has announced the liquidation will take place next October 31.
According to the announcement:
“The decision was made after careful consultation with the firm’s board of directors and after it was determined that discontinuing the fund would be the best course of action for all involved.”
Valkyrie Investments launched the fund in December 2021.
