Price of Token of NFT Project Metaplex Crashes Following Airdrop Announcement

The price of the Metaplex (MPLX) crypto has fallen by 60% after the announcement of the second airdrop of the NFT platform.
According to project representatives:
“Collectors are the blood of the Metaplex ecosystem. The organization approved the distribution of 40 million MPLX to the creators of Solana-based NFTs.”
According to the information on the website of the project, collectors have already received 11.4 million MPLX.
The first Metaplex Governance Token airdrop took place in September. The assets were distributed to users who used tools to run NFT collections on Solana. Then some market participants insisted on expanding the distribution.
