US Sentences Organizer of IGOBIT Fraudulent Scheme
According to the Ministry of Justice, a US court has found 50-year-old Washington resident Ace St. Clair guilty of organizing a cryptocurrency fraudulent scheme.
According to the announcement, he attracted investments under the IGOBIT token sale, claiming he is supported by the intergovernmental organization World Sports Alliance. Saint-Clair presented the latter as a UN unit, but in fact they had nothing to do with each other.
The organizer promised investors guaranteed profits and a stake in IGOBIT. He spent the funds received on his own needs, including meals in fashionable restaurants in Manhattan, flights and online shopping.
According to authorities, more than 60 people became victims of the scheme and the damage exceeds $600,000.
