A User Pays Almost $60,000 for an NFT Due to The Merge Issue
In the first block after Ethereum switched to the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm, the user issued an NFT, paying 36.8 ETH in transaction fees.
The Merge activation took place yesterday after reaching the terminal complexity of the network at around 58,750,000,000,000,000,000,000.
The last PoW block in the blockchain was #15 537 393. The F2Pool mining pool added a comment to it:
“You make a commitment, and nature will respond by removing possible obstacles. Dream about the unrealizable, and the world will not trample you, but lift you up. This is the trick.”
