Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of crypto derivatives platform FTX, has said that his company is not going to acquire Huobi.

He has written on Twitter:

“Just to be explicit because apparently a lot of people are saying this: No, we are not planning to acquire Huobi.”

Bloomberg sources have said earlier this month that platform co-founder Leon Li was negotiating with a group of investors to sell a 58% stake. Among the potential buyers, the head of FTX and the founder of the Tron Foundation, Justin Sun, allegedly appeared.

According to journalist Colin Wu, the email addresses of all Huobi employees changed from Huobi.com to htx-inc.com last week.
