Meta Expands NFT Integration Pilot to More Than 100 Countries
Meta Corporation, Facebook’s parent company, has expanded its pilot project to integrate non-fungible tokens (NFTs) into social Instagram to an additional 100 countries.
According to the announcement:
“Today we are starting an international expansion into 100 countries in Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and North and South America. In addition, we now support Coinbase Wallet and Dapper Wallet connectivity, as well as the ability to host digital collectibles issued on the Flow blockchain.”
Meta launched a pilot project to integrate NFT into Instagram in May. Selected users were allowed to set non-fungible tokens as their profile photo.
As part of the initiative, the social network supports assets on the Ethereum, Polygon and Flow blockchains.
