The team behind the monster-battle NFT game Illuvium has recently closed a virtual land sale round worth about $72.2 million.

During the Dutch auctions, which took place on June 2-5, the project sold 19,969 of the 20,000 lots offered for sale. The plots could be bought with ETH or sILV2, an asset that pays rewards for staking the ILV governance token.

The sale generated a total of 4,018 ETH and 239,388 sILV2.

Lots provide players with the opportunity to capture monsters, which are then used in battles, and game resources. The owners will also receive 5% of the income from the land.
