Intel Wants to Develop Accelerators for Crypto Mining Devices
Chip maker Intel has recently announced it plans to contribute to the development of distributed ledger technology by presenting its own development in the form of an accelerator for mining devices, Raja Koduri, vice president of the Computing and Graphics Department, has said.
According to him, the accelerator devices for mining digital assets will be released by the end of this year. The company will unveil more detailed information about partners and the specifics of the accelerator program at the end of this month as part of the International Conference on Solid State Circuits.
Kaduri has said that the introduction of their development into the functionality of one or another blockchain platform will speed up the mining of digital assets by 1,000 times.
He has addd that Argo Blockchain, BLOCK and GRIID Infrastructure will become Intel partner companies, which will be the first to be given the opportunity to try out the company’s mining accelerator.
