Crypto Exchange Bitso Becomes Sponsor of Mexico National Football Team
Bitso, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Latin America, has recently become the official sponsor of the Mexican national football team.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Through the partnership, Bitso and the national team will boost the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the country, starting with the provision of educational programs. The agreement also provides for the release of the Mexican national team of the NFT collection, which will be distributed exclusively by the exchange.
Daniel Vogel, co-founder and CEO of Bitso, has said:
“Our football team constantly encourages us to dream of reaching new heights, so we cannot ask for a better ally to promote access to technology and innovation throughout the region.”
The new partnership is part of an “aggressive growth strategy” that Bitso adopted after reaching a valuation of $2.2 billion. The exchange has more than 3.7 million users and is the third largest fintech startup in Latin America.
