Adidas Sells $23.5 million in NFTs in Collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club
Adidas has raised 5,924 ETH (about $23.5 million) from the sale of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in collaboration with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), GMoney and PunksComic projects within the metaverse.
In total, Adidas has prepared 30,000 non-fungible tokens as part of the Into the Metaverse campaign.
At an early stage, 20,000 NFTs were sold at 0.2 ETH each. They were for sale to holders of POAP tokens, POAP gmoney, non-fungible tokens BAYC, Mutant Ape Yacht Club or Pixel Wallet.
During the total sale, Adidas distributed another 9,620 NFTs at 0.2 ETH. The company has decided to keep the remaining 380 tokens for future events.
During the early phase, the issuance of tokens was temporarily suspended because the holders of the NFT Mutant Ape Yacht Club were unable to take part in it.
Adidas has promised to reimburse users the fees for the transactions that could not be completed due to an error.
