PSG Paid Messi Part of the Signing Package in Fan Tokens
Lionel Messi, former player of Spanish team F.C. Barcelona, has just became the first footballer to receive Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fan tokens as part of a bonus for signing a contract with the club, Socios.com reports.
PSG officially unveiled Messi on August 10 as a new player of the team. The footballer signed a two-year contract with the possibility of extending it for one more year.
The PSG has announced through the statement that Messi’s “welcome package” includes an undisclosed amount of $PSG Fan Tokens (PSG), which have been issued on the blockchain platform Socios.com.
We should take into account that the price of the PSG token started to rise driven by rumors about the player joining the team. Notably, its price has risen by around 80% in one week.
